Summer 2011 Update for Essex Yoga Classes

SUMMER DIARY DATES FOR JULY TO AUGUST 2011

Kindly note that classes finish on Friday 29th July and we are not running any Yoga classes in the UK during the month of August. Normal timetable will resume from Monday 5th September. Please note that our Monday 8.30pm class is already fully booked, if you wanted a space on this class please contact me: joanistcliere@aol.com or text me: 07787 512617.

CLASS INFORMATION FOR JUNE 2011

We are currently running a small advertising campaign in local press, called Yoga for the Not So Bendy! This campaign was designed in order to reassure people that you do not have to be super flexible to attend a Yoga class, and ironically people that are very inflexible probably need Yoga more than anyone! We are also aware that many of the Yoga Magazines and DVDs that are quite readily available in stores often use a very dramatic posture on the front cover because this is eye catching and dramatic, unfortunately the flip side of this is that it can put people of practicing Yoga completely! So if you are thinking of taking up Yoga or know someone else that has been considering this form of exercise, please contact us and we will help you to find the perfect class for you.

CLASS PROMOTION FOR MAY

During the month of May we will start our advertising campaign for the “NOT SO BENDY”, the idea behind this campaign is to encourage people to attend Yoga classes despite the fact that they are not very flexible. The most common response I receive when suggesting someone starts practicing Yoga is “I am not flexible enough”, which is such a shame and the sad fact is the inflexible people are probably the type of people that would benefit the most from some gentle stretching. So our campaign is designed to reassure the general public and hopefully encourage people that feel intimidated by the amazing postures often illustrating the front cover of Yoga books or magazines. If you would like to try a new class or know someone that would benefit from attending, please contact us for more information at joanistcliere@aol.com or call/text 07787 512617.

CLASS CANCELLED ON THUR 26TH MAY ONLY

Please note that there will be no Yoga class at Move It Studios of Thursday 26th May as I will be attending teacher training on this day. Normal classes resume from the week after, my apologies for any dismantlement caused.

Easter Update for Essex Yoga Class Members

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Please note that our offices and community based classes will be closed from Tuesday 19th April and will not open until Wednesday 27th April. Please also remember that classes will not run on Bank Holidays so if you attend Monday or Friday classes in April your classes will be closed on the Bank Holiday dates.

FULLY BOOKED SESSIONS

Please note that if you attend a fully booked class, we automatically book you in for the next week unless you tell us differently when signing in. If you cant attend the following week but you want to keep your place it is very important that you text to let us know. If we do not hear from you for 3 weeks we will remove your name from register and offer your place to the next person on the waiting list. Please keep in touch so that this system runs smoothly and is fair to everyone.

Class Information for March 2011

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION – PLEASE READ!

Kindly note that there will be no day time class on Monday 21st March as I will be away on a teacher training course during the day, however classes will return to normal for the evening so the 8.30pm Monday night class will run as usual.

NEW CLASSES TO BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY

We are currently in the process of reshuffling the teaching schedule in order to make some spaces for 2 new Yoga Classes. We want to provide classes locally that meet your requirements so we ask you to let us know when you want a class and where so we can try to make classes as convenient as possible for you.

A big thank you to all my Yoga Class members for such an amazing level of support and enthusiasm for classes this term, it is very rewarding as a teacher to see you all developing your practice and making such great progress, keep up the good work!

CLASS UPDATE FOR FEBRUARY/MARCH 2011

Kindly note that Half Term begins on Monday 21st February for one week, this means that we will not be running daytime classes during this week at any of our venues, however the evening sessions will run as normal throughout this week.

NEW CLASSES – UPDATE

We are constantly being asked to put more new classes on the timetable, please bear with us as we are currently trying to find suitable locations and venues and once this is organised we can then start to schedule in some more Yoga classes.

There are some changes to class venues for January 2011, so please check the details below before attending a class:

Mondays in Maldon 10.30am – new venue Maldon Town Hall

Mondays in Maldon 8.30pm – new venue Maldon Football Club

Thursdays in South Woodham 10.30am – new class at Move It Dance Studios
